Description: Website for the RIT College of Science- Center for Computational Relativity and Gravitation. The CCRG is an RIT's Signature Interdisciplinary Research Areas (SIRA) and an RIT's Center of Excellence under the Office of the Vice-President of Research and Provost's Office. Originally founded in 2007, in the RIT's College of Science, CCRG also retained its denomination of a core COS Research Center. The center is governed by a Director, supported by a Steering Committee of core faculty members, and an advisory board. The center also operates the state-of-the-art laboratories in high-performance computation and visualization, and manages several externally funded projects and collaborations. The center is supported through a combination of external grants, gifts, SIRA funding and F&A Return.

The Center for Advancing STEM Teaching, Learning & Evaluation (CASTLE) is a network of faculty, projects and programs engaged in scholarship surrounding STEM education. Led by Director Scott Franklin, it is comprised of STEM faculty, research associates, instructional service professionals, and communication experts. Together they form a network of skilled individuals committed to the Center’s mission of advancing STEM teaching, learning and evaluation. Members work together on research and programs engaged in scholarship of pedagogy, facilitating dialog, encouraging collaborative opportunities in evidence-based practices, conducting discipline-based education research and establishing methods of assessment and evaluation. CASTLE arose from the realization that existing collaborations would be enhanced by a formal structure that emphasized opportunities for synergies. The center's mission is to improve STEM education and outreach initiatives at RIT and foster collaboration between STEM educators and education researchers. CASTLE is fostering interdisciplinary collaboration through the Interdisciplinary STEM Ed Research Forum (ISERF), STEM education research groups across campus that meet several times a year to share ideas and further common research goals.

The Integrated Sciences Academy was created in 2017 as the innovative home to multidisciplinary academic and research programs in the College of Science at RIT. Here, students may take part in science exploration; a first-year program that allows students to gain hands-on experience across the range of scientific disciplines in order to best select a major. The Academy is also home to the color science program which explores all aspects of color from lighting, through material properties, to human perception.
